Specifically, 59 percent of Hispanic homebuyers in 2021 were first-time homebuyers. The trend so far in 2022 is even stronger with about 66 percent of Hispanic buyers supported this year identifying as first-timers. A focus on Hispanic women first-time homebuyers reveals even stronger data for 2022, as about 68 percent of Hispanic women borrowers helped by Ginnie Mae MBS in 2002 so far are first-time homeowners compared to 66 percent in 2021.
